Registered Land Execution Date Requirement

We have rejected a number of registered land deeds and mortgages because they lack the execution date of the document. That date must be expressly stated either immediately before, or right next to, the grantor's signature. Neither the date that appears at the beginning of the document nor the date in the acknowledgement clause are sufficient. 

Please remember that all registered land documents that you intend to submit to us for registration must first be emailed to us for pre-approval. Send your fully executed documents to lowelldeeds@comcast.net. We will review the documents and email our determination that the documents may be submitted to us as is or we will specify any changes that must be made before sending the documents to us.
